Things to do in New Orleans
New Orleans is one of the prettiest cities in America and is really, really easy to navigate via streetcar, bus, bicycle (it's 100% flat!) or foot. Here are just a few fun things to do while you count the minutes until the lovely ladies of Tease-O-Rama hit the stage. Remember that even though it's temping to stay in the picturesque French Quarter, there is a whole other city out there! We definitely recommend catching the Magazine Street bus at Canal and Decatur, and exploring uptown for cool local treats.

ACCOMMODATIONS
These are a few moderately priced hotels in various areas of New Orleans. To clarify location, the Howlin' Wolf club is in the Warehouse District and the Shim Sham Club is in the French Quarter. The Warehouse District is about 15 blocks to the Quarter -about a $5 cab ride, or not even. The Faubourg Marigny is walking distance to the Quarter. If you don't wanna rent a car, the Quarter or the Marigny is the best place for you... if you are wheeled, parking in those areas will be manageable but admittedly sucky.
Regarding the rates: These are the "rack rates", or the highest possible rate which they charge during Mardi Gras or other big tourist times. You can get a sizable discount just by asking or arriving during a low-occupancy time, which the Tease-O-Rama thankfully falls under. Yay! On the plus side most of these places have what we call "local character" pretty courtyards, cool architectural details, etc. Many also have cheaper "backpacker's rooms" you can ask about. I also listed some youth hostels. In the coming weeks we will hopefully secure at least a nominal discount for Tease-O-Rama visitors at some hotels, so stay tuned!
