Burlesque Performers

Alotta Boutte

Straight from the womb to the lime light, this lady's been performing since her first breath. Itching for her own little niche in this glamorous world, she went searching for her place and found it in the stories of her moonshinin' grandpa and brazen matriarchy. Alotta relished her rich Creole family history and the dirty blues of the Deep South. She added her queer-as-hell family, vibrant with drag of all kinds, and refined the mix into the perfect audacious spitfire sweet-treat you've ever had the pleasure to see. You can find this bawdy, brassy, juke-joint mamma performing throughout San Francisco and on occasional travels around the globe.

Alotta got her neo-burlesque start as a member of Harlem Shake Burlesque with whom she won much acclaim including: Best Troupe at Miss Exotic World 2004, and Best Burlesque in both SF Guardian and East bay Express. They also graced the pages of 7x7 Magazine as part of the annual "Top 20 under 40." With Harlem Shake and solo Alotta has had the privilege of hoofing it on many high-profile stages across the country; from NYC's Starshine, to Chicago's Gurlesque Burlesque with the Sissy Butch Brothers, Margaret Cho's Sensuous Woman , San Francisco's Supperclub, and The Exotic World Museums's Miss Exotic World. You can catch her in the pages of the Jan/Feb 08 issue of Curve Magazine, www.curvemag.com, and Leonard Nimoy's Full Body Project, www.leonardnimoyphotography.com. She performs in the Bay Area on a regular basis.
