Zumanity Performers Arslan Gusengadzhiev Las Vegas, Nevada In Zumanity™, the Sensual Side of Cirque du Soleil®, Arslan is a limber Lothario, performing on command for his sadistic sirens, who take pleasure in watching him squirm. In the midst of Zumanity’s sensuality, Arslan delivers a unique and unusual twist on sexuality with “Dislocation”: an act in which he redefines flexibility, using his elastic body to bend, twist, and contort into nature-defying positions. Originally performed by his brother Moukhtar when Zumanity premiered in 2003, Arslan began performing “Dislocation” in 2004 where he continues to shock audiences each night with his jaw-dropping flexibility. When he’s not twisting and bending on the Zumanity stage, Arslan can be found behind the camera indulging his passion for photography. A native to Russia, he currently resides in Las Vegas www.zumanity.com Licemar and Luciene Medeiros - “Botero Sisters” Las Vegas, Nevada Sexy, sweet and a little bit naughty, Licemar and Luciene are Zumanity’s “Botero Sisters”. They greet the audience as two very voluptuous, very flirtatious French maids in a foreshadowing of the shock, awe and fun that lies in wait behind the curtain. Throughout the show, the sisters transition from bedazzled show girls to Viking warrior princesses and S&M goddesses; evidence that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. Born in Brazil, Li and Lu are real-life sisters, although they are not twins as Zumanity™, the Sensual Side of Cirque du Soleil® would lead one to believe. Eighth generation circus artists, Li and Lu learned their juggling, tap dancing and clown comedy from their parents, who were well-known in the circus world as trapeze artists, high-wire performers, lion tamers and jugglers. Prior to joining Zumanity, Li and Lu performed with the Picadeiro Ciro Escola in Brazil. Both Li and Lu speak Portuguese, Spanish and English. They currently reside in Las Vegas. www.zumanity.com Michelle Marmolejo - “Queen of the Wind” Las Vegas, Nevada In Zumanity™, the Sensual Side of Cirque du Soleil® , a storm sweeps over the stage as Marmolejo, Queen of the Wind, summons the spirits in a fevered flamenco dance. With smouldering intensity, her hypnotic dance stirs the soul, arouses the imagination and prepares the senses for an uninhibited transformation. Born in Damascus, Syria, but raised in El Paso, Texas, Marmolejo graduated high school with a passion for dance. She went on to pursue her passion at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Modern Dance Performance. Prior to joining the cast of Zumanity in January 2008, Marmolejo spent six years in New York City where she performed in a number of stage productions including Latin Heat, In the Heights, Saturday Night Fever, SWING, and Broadway’s “The Mambo Kings”.
