Belles du Jour Belles du Jour is an East Bay burlesque troupe known for their delightful sense of humor and tongue-in-cheek performances. Brought together in 2006 by founding member Peaches Velour, these five fabulously funny and feisty women pull from their individual and unique talents to bring a special brand of moxie to the stage that is sure to evoke laughter as much as titillation, while also honoring the vaudevillian roots of classic burlesque. The Belles always strive to entertain, but never take themselves too seriously. The Belles host and perform the First Friday Follies in Oakland, an incredible burlesque, comedy and music showcase that features different and exciting acts each show so that no line-up is the same. They have also performed at venues throughout the Bay Area, including Little Minsky's and Slim's, and have been involved in many charity events and fundraisers.
