San Francisco is a unique, creative and diverse city compact into a 7 mile x 7 mile area. Divided up into neighborhoods the best way to explore San Francisco is by foot.

How to get Around?
San Francisco International Airport This major international hub is located 15 miles from downtown San Francisco
Average Cab fare to downtown SF: $30-50

Public Transit:
You can take the BART Rapid Rail directly from SFO.
For more info check out:
http://www.flysfo.com

You can also take a shuttle from the airport for cheap. Shuttle vans congregate on the second level of SFO above the baggage claim area.

Advance reservations guareentee a seat but they aren't required.
Usually about $15-20 per trip.

Bay Shuttle: 415.564.3400
SuperShuttle: 800.258.3826

Oakland International Airport
If you're coming from the Oakland airport, it's not too difficult to take a bus to the Oakland Coliseum BART station. The airport has AirBART buses that cost $2 (purchased right next to baggage claim and in the BART station for returning tickets) and get you from the airport to coliseum BART station.

Trains
Amtrak can transport you to Tease-O-Rama http://www.amtrak.com/

Parking
With narrow streets and steep hills San Francisco can be a challenge in a car. While street parking is nearly impossible there are garages throughout the city which make the process more manageable but expensive! If you are staying in a hotel it might be a good idea to find out if they charge for parking or if they provide free parking.

Taxis
Taxis are the way to travel around SF. They are pretty cheap and somewhat easy to flag down. A safe bet is to catch a taxi lined up outside the lobby of a major hotel, or phone one ahead of time (plan to wait 40 minutes)

United Cab: 415.552.8562
Yellow Cab: 415.626.2345

Where To Stay
Tease-O-Rama has NOT secured any hotels for particular discounts this year
- this is because the rates that were being offered to us were MORE then what you get on Travelocity! It just seemed silly to recommend rooms at such high prices when you can get cheaper options online.

When doing your searches try and find something near the venue and daytime venue which is NORTH BEACH or FISHERMAN WHARF areas. If you stay in that area you won't have to rent a car at all! Well you really don't need to rent a car in SF cause taxi's and buses are the way to go. Just in case you want to know: The Thursday night meet and greet is in the HAYES VALLEY area. The late-night after party on Saturday is in the SOMA area. Both the Showcase at Bimbo's and Saturday daytime convention at The SF Art Institute are in NORTH BEACH.

Hotel Links
The Hilton Fisherman Wharf (1300 COLUMBUS AVE San Francisco, CA 94133) and The Marriot at Fishermans Wharf are SUPER close to Bimbos and SF Art Institute as well as the Columbus Motor Inn if any of those are open and fit your budget you should totally book them!

The one hotel we would recommend for something hipster and cool is the Mosser Hotel but that is $169 a night (I have seen it for under $100 on travelocity)!

Most hotels in the SF area our over $100. You basically get what you pay for here. Go for something dirt cheap and you will end up with something not so nice.

Please book your rooms NOW for Tease-O-Rama. There is another huge event called FLEET WEEK happening in San Francisco the same weekend - also in North Beach! Don't wait to book!!
